We started this lifestyle with our 2016 Coachmen Clipper 17BH that we purchased used in 2023. With our first camper we really embraced RV life and would often do weekend warrior trips while still working full time during the week. Melissa was first on board with going full-time and began planting the seeds for Carson during the winter of 2023. Carson was running a deck construction business and was hesitant to pause that work, but he came around and got excited as the plan for selling our home and leaving Charlotte began. Once August of 2024 was set as our embarkment date, we powered full steam ahead in getting ready. We left and have not looked back!
From August-November 2024 we traveled on our first big trip up north to Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and then down to Colorado. We were able to visit some new states and see some awesome national parks along the way. We fell in love with Michigan’s upper peninsula and Colorado as our favorite stops. With the holidays rolling in we trekked back over to South Carolina, where Carson’s family lives for some R and R over the winter. After some much needed rest we headed out on our newest Adventure.
Traveling down to Florida in January of 2025, we purchased our 2025 Jayco Jay Feather 23RK at the Tampa Mega RV show. We have loved the new camper and are excited to share driving from Key west FL the southern most point in the U.S. To arriving in Prudhoe Bay Alaska this summer at the northern most point. Driving from Florida across Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona has been awesome in exploring through March of 2025 and Baja California Del Sur an amazing detour. With amazing beaches and great tacos along the way. Buckle up with us as we start our trek up the West Coast and embark on the second phase of our journey!
